A hidden gem found along the east coast of Florida that runs along with the Indian River Lagoon is the town of Sebastian. Sebastian Inlet
Indian River County is home to a number of incredible beaches, with Sebastian Inlet being top of the list as a true beach lovers paradise. The inlet is a famous surf destination, world renown for its surf break, it holds spot to WSL competitions and a historic spot for surfers. Sebastian Inlet is also a State Park, home to many fish and wild life. Believe me, you won’t want to forget your fishing pole and snorkel! The Sebastian Inlet jetty is a premier saltwater fishing spot for anglers who have a great appreciation for both beach and river fishing. There is also boat ramp access for boating and for a nice Sunday afternoon, you will find a number of boats make a stop at the Sebastian Inlet sandbar where you can drop an anchor and take a dip into the cool saltwater. Whether you choose to travel by boat or by car, the inlet is perfect for spending the day. With plenty of picnic tables and grills, you can hangout by the beach and even grab lunch at BG’s Surfside Grill located at the park. Vero Beach and Beaches
Heading south on A1A, you will find the quaint town of Vero Beach made up a number of shops and boutiques, restaurants on the beach, and plenty of beach accesses along the heart of Ocean Drive. Vero Beach is an ideal place to spend the day.
Jaycee Beach– A beach found along the boardwalk, Jaycee Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Vero Beach. With plenty of wide open spaces, amenities and public beach accesses, this beach is a great spot for families looking to spend the day at the beach or those who want to take a walk along the boardwalk on a nice sunny day.
Golden Sands Beach Park– is a traditional beach park with lifeguards, grills and picnic area, dressing facilities, restrooms and showers. With golden sand and clear waters most days, you can’t go wrong with packing-up and heading here for a lovely beach day.
Seagrape Trail Beach – A secluded beach found north on A1A is a treasure hunter’s dream. It is known for discovering silver coins from the 1715 sunk Spanish Fleet, and you can also find sea turtle nests along the sandy shore. This secluded beach is perfect for a sunrise/sunset walk. Amenities include paved parking area with boardwalk access to the beach.
